I believe there is a correlation between unidentifiably neurodivergent and substance or alcohol abuse.

Thanks to God from all the tradition I have never try in my life cocaine or opium; but millions have not being so luky. Today I train with a group of brave people that against the adds are overcoming substance abuse, but in the story of my life.

…but I did abuse of alcohol!

Today I look deeper than ever before in all the corners of my life, and I ask, and I wonder how close I was to become an alcoholic? I will probably never know; but to be honest I still like the wine and the good company that comes with it.

…but why I believe neurodivergent are more vulnerable to alcohol and other substances? (Is not a believe multiple studies see this tendency).

I come from the land of ‘Salsa’, Rick Martin and Bad Bunny, in my land we know how to party and we party hard. Yes! To be honest I still enjoy those moments, but they long gone.

For example my ADHD brain, have a lower dopamine signal in the prefrontal cortex of the brain. For the autistic portion of my brain the differences is sensory processing and the balance between excitatory and inhibitory signals. My Psychologies and his bipolar brain, disorder, disregulation in mood circuits with fluctuating dopamine activity.
Alcohol or drugs (legal and illegal) can momentary change the biochemistry of any Neurodivergent brain creating a temporary balance or the impression of wellness.
