Complex-PTSD

Complex-PTSD is like regular Post Traumatic Stress Disorder but in steroids. Most of us knows about PTSD thanks to the veteran stories over the years. This post is not designed to go deeper but to give you a sense of what is like to life or to date someone with C-PTSD.

I will dive deeper in chapter 7 of Healing Together One Soul at the Time. I am planning to go as deep as possible can for a short book.

As you already knows I am writing with the intention to make contribution in peoples life.

If you read the draft of the first chapter and the begging of the other you will see why editing is important, also the ADHD brain jumping from one idea to the other with no apparent parter; but nothing is further from the through.

Chapter 7 will be called:
What is behind the Brain? I am planning to dive deeper in the how and when the brain gets depressed and how your brain can only hear using your ears, not mine, nor anybody else and more.
But today I will introduce a neuro-diversity not created at birth but during the first few years of development.

Known to me as ‘early C-PTSD’ or ‘eC-PTSD’. My brain needs to assign a geometry of an idea in my ‘beautiful brain’.

If you are a psychiatrist and you will like to add in comments is more than welcome. Even if that I need from me to make corrections to this post and my book.

We all know the concept of PTSD, so I don’t think is necessary for me to waist our time in that definition, but what it is the difference of a C-PTSD vs a PTSD.

The amount of trauma the quantity and direction of the Trauma. What do I mean by this?

For example and to illustrated in Peñuelas, PR and a small Island in the Caribbean sea that I call home. In 2019 at the end of the year a series of small earthquake change the life of many. People from the town, regardless of their age, gender or religion, not all but many experience in one instant an event that create for many PTSD. A trauma was created.
One event can create a PTSD disorder in the brain multiple events like that create what is called Complex-PTSD for example a person that is kidnapped and tortured or assault can create C-PTSD.

But what happen when this person is a child?

Try to imagine for a moment a brain that is not fully formed, a brain that still in formation; the brain of a boy or a girl that some day will suffer from eC-PTSD.

Why do I want to make the distinction.

Because there is a difference between the C-PTSD that is created as adult vs the C-PTSD of an adult that his trauma was created as a child.
We can not expect for a eC-PTSD adult brain to self regulate as normal neuro-funtional brain.

As I continue my formation as a professional peer the more I learn, and the more I see how child abuse create substance users.
I like to speak about the power of miracles and dreams, but we are running in a cycle. As a society we still breaking our children in one way or another.

Today I understand that alcoholism, and substance abuse have one thing in common.

…to numb the pain that was created when we were children.

My female friend that has eC-PTSD that inspired to write this post will be call Morríghan.

Welcome to Religare.blog I am Neuro-Divergent. What do I mean by this? Well my brain is in the Spectrum, with ADHD, and the cousin dyslexic, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia. I write without an editor just to invite others to be free, to remember that Dreams and Miracles are all made of the same substance.
