Hola and hi!

Did I mention that I am Autistic; VERY autistic I will like to emphasize…! Sometimes I try to be normal, then I get bored and I return to be Me… Hansell! 🧘‍♀️🤪🥾

Sometimes having a blog makes my life easier and more interesting, sometimes it’s like having a tool or like having a weapon, sometimes open the opportunity for me to speak freely and sometimes I used just to hide ideas between the words.

…but today I will like to speak about the power of a friend, vs the power of a peer to peer.

Did you know that over 80+% of adults with in the Autistic Spectrum Disorder are unemployed, including myself. I am one of millions, in this sad but real statistic!

Understanding the challenges of being Autistic or Neuro-Divergent is what can give the Live Experience of speaking as a Peer.

A Peer-To-Peer Specialist is a peer who is Certified by the State with training and experience in how to lead others through a similar set of challenge. For example a Opium Peer To Peer Specialist could know some aspects of the depression on the autistic life, the pain but not necessary the context of the experience.

…and is the experience it self what set apart the friend for the peer as the training from the peer to peer to the Peer Specialist.

Today I have a Plan of Action with DARS the local rehabilitation agency from the state of *Virginia.

*Note: All 50 USA states and most the countries have similar agencies if you or someone you know need help this is just one of many state office you request assistance.
