Religare comes from the now remerging ‘Late Latin’ and can be translated or understood as:

We all ready know that the life of a NeuroDivergent is full of unseeing and unspeakable needs, dreams, challenge and talents. For this reason I choose ‘Goyo’, as the perfect story for our 1st night event.

-Goyo is a well educated argentine man with a beautiful mind who works at the prestige art museum.

…but why a movie nigh you may ask?

Simple!, the need to belong.

For the well being of my inner-self. I need to make a mandatory detour just to add value and practice ‘gratitud’, to the team of students of the Clinic at Carlos Albizu University here in Mayagüez, PR.

I am not sure how lucky am… 🤔 !?
I mean finding the full spectrum of my ‘Neuro-Reality’ at my mid 50’s is not necessary an act of luck but perseverance. On the other hand, the support group that I have found is opening a new door in my life for which feels not necessarily lucky but more like a blessing.

Listening, knowing and sharing with other ‘neuro-divergents’, is priceless…😉

    Represent a state of mind or awareness that is ideal to be used in our ‘movie night’ or any other event at religare.blog.

    Genkan     comes from two understandings:

    Gen(玄) that can be translated as ‘profound’ or ‘mysterious’.
    Kan (関) represents or translate as ‘barrier, gateway or connection’. They together means the entrance or entryway to a house or area.

    This tradition of removing your shoes originates from ancient Japanese customs influenced in part by Shinto (the native of the Islands) and Buddhist practices. This is not just a custom but is more like a moment of realization or a moment of awareness!

    Genkan represent the physical, mental and spiritual practice of when you come to my house for a Movie Night 🎥 🍿 , (or to a retreat 🧘‍♀️ 💃 🕺 🍱 , camping 🏕️ , to a ‘Café’ ☕️ in a Penny University event, to live at ‘Home away from home’), or any other event with the mental awareness that you are in the neuro-divergents space.

Genkan represent our request to you to take a moment, to move from the stress from the outside world and make a transition to the people inside.

Goyo is a man with Asperger’s, a Van Gogh fan, who works as a guide at the Museum of Fine Arts in the City of Buenos Aires. His structured routine is interrupted when he meets Eva, the museum’s new security guard, and love and tenderness take over him.
